People find great uses for old law (and other) books, like lamps, shelves or handbags!  I had the idea while in law school for a Kindle that comes preloaded with all of your textbooks and an easy link to download all of your courses next semester as well.  While I think this is already being done, the emergence of tech such as iPads and Nooks, Kindles, etc… make it clear that for many students, paper and textbooks are on the verge of being passe.
